Batman has joined the fabled ranks of LEGO recreations in LEGO Batman – The Video Game, a platforming adventure title from Traveller’s Tales.

The criminals of Gotham City have managed to escape the walls of Arkham Asylum and are terrorizing the city. Batman will have to face each of the foes he’s placed in the asylum and save Gotham one villain at a time. Both Batman and Robin are playable characters, as well as bonus character Nightwing. In a twist, players can now side against the dynamic duo and take the role of The Joker, The Penguin, Scarecrow, Catwoman and many others to try and overthrow Gotham themselves.

Traveller’s Tales are well known for their other successful LEGO titles, including Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Those titles’ sly sense of humour and silent slapstick make a return in LEGO Batman, as well as the huge range of playable characters and simple, addictive gameplay ideal for young Batman fans. The usual Batman gadgets and vehicles are all on hand, and well-known Gotham hideouts have all been recreated in LEGO form, as well as the Dark knight himself.

LEGO Batman – The Video Games follows the tradition of previous LEGO titles in the series, but with the inclusion of Gotham villains, and with its humour still intact, the series continues to grow.
