The original F.E.A.R. is rightly considered one of the most frightening titles available on current formats. Mixing slow motion gun battles with a supernatural storyline and shocking gameplay moments created a truly unique shooter. Originally known simply as Project Origin, this sequel picks up where the original left off, giving players the same intense scares and satisfying gunplay the original is known for. The mysterious Alma makes a welcome return, her childlike appearance and slow movements inspired by horror films such as The Ring. Entering as a new team member, players must unravel the events that led to the destruction of a US city in the original title.

The sharp, original gun battles of F.E.A.R. also return, once again allows players to slow down time at the push of a button and take on multiple enemies at once. Enemies’ intelligence has been drastically improved, who will now use the more open environments to their advantage and fight aggressively in close-quarter battles.

F.E.A.R. 2 – Project Origin takes the scares and action that made the original so compelling, improving on its solid foundations and continuing its unsettling storyline.

Beginning shortly before the ending of F.E.A.R., a Special Forces squad is on a routine mission when the city of Auburn is rocked by a supernatural explosion. Alma, a girl with immense power and a thirst for revenge, has unleashed her wrath upon the city and thrown it into chaos.

Tension builds as the squad must combat enemy forces and the supernatural as they struggle to find a way to stop Alma and uncover the mysterious forces arrayed against them before it’s too late.
